Since I remember I always had cats. First 2 were rescued stray kittens, third was an adult stray girl. I assisted with two births, syringe fed new born kittens (born via c-section), gave medicines and all. All the cats lived long happy lives. I missed them after I left my country. But they stayed safe in a family home until their last days.
It took a long time until I got lucky enough to live with a cat again - renting houses comes with limitations, but in my new home, my neighbours' cat chose to live with us and I'm delighted :)

I love cat cuddles, most of the cats I met were cuddly ones. I get that not all are. But their different characters is what's best about them.
I would take time to get to know your boy or girl, I'm extremely patient. I'm not afraid of sharp claws - especially of the youngsters that want to play scratch and bite 😂 (I've done it all :) )
Feeding, changing water, playing, brushing. Anything that's required.
