About Me
Passionate Cat Sitter in South Dublin
Hey, I'm Carmel - a professional pet minder for the past few years.
Cats are especially dear to me since taking in kittens with my family 8 years ago. From looking after cats over the past few years I continue to find it fascinating how intricate cats' personalities are and I would be honoured to get to know your cat :)
If your cat is very shy, don't worry - I have experience with feral cats so I understand how anxious they can get. I took one in a few years ago and if there is one thing I have learned from that experience, it is the power of patience! And lots of love 💕
Additionally, I had the opportunity to work on an animal sanctuary in Germany a few years ago where I spent a lot of time getting to know rescued farm animals and how to look after them.
This deepened my love for taking care of pets when I came back to Dublin to study.
From having my own cats, I've gained a good understanding of common issues they face and how they're dealt with, and this has really enhanced my confidence of taking care of all sorts of cats, whether they're little kitties or the seniors of the house! On top of that, I also hold a valid canine first aid certificate.
My house visits are between 30-45 minutes.
I also regularly do overnight house sitting and this is great for cats who are used to regular attention and company.
Before minding your cat, I will arrange a meet-and-greet so that I can get to know a bit about them (and hopefully meet them!) and you can ask me any questions.
This reassures both of us and I aim to ensure you are happy and stress-free knowing your fur baby will be taken care of the way you like.
- Price for two visits/day is €45 (unable to edit the price from €35 currently).
*Areas out of the 5km radius will be an additional €5/visit due to travel expenses.
- Bank Holidays / Public Holidays incur an additional 30% fee.
My visits would include feeding, cleaning, and playing with them - and of course having all the cuddles! Each cat has their own needs so I would accommodate to what best suits them.
