About Me
Cat & Dog obsessed Human Nurse
25/01/25 I am unable to commit to 2 visits a day for the foreseeable. I am unable to remove same from my profile as it’s a standard with CIAF
Meow :-) Thank you for considering me to look after your beloved pet. I started working with cat in a flat in August 2019.
I love my job as a cat sitter. I absolutely adore cats. I don’t think you’ll find someone that loves them more than me. I am a nurse (qualified 17 years now) & my job can be quite serious & sad sometimes. Cat sitting is the perfect hobby for me. I will spend time with your cat(s), for cuddles & playtime if you & they want me to. I know that some are very timid (ahem my female cat) I drive so I can travel anywhere in Dublin & Dublin/Meath, Dublin/Kildare border within reason. I am based in Dublin 15.
A little bit about me & my cats. I absolutely adore cats. I have been owned by cats for the past 13 years. When I was growing up my sister was deathly allergic to cats so we couldn’t have them. I always dreamed of having a cat & I spent years researching everything there is to know about cats. I have a male & female. Ciko & Penny. They are both indoor cats. Penny is a little cutie, she has IBD so she is on special food & oral steroids, alternate days (I can administer medication whether it is tablet form, topical, injection or suppository). Ciko is a scallywag <3
I have previously fostered cats & kittens for the DSPCA & all of my cats have been rescued.
I know how important it is for cats to be able to stay in their home where they are comfortable. I don’t send my cats to catteries because it upsets them too much. The last time I didn’t have a choice (I didn’t know that cat in a flat existed then) & my poor little man didn’t eat for 3 days straight. So I know how important a service like this is.
I love all animals, you can check out my Instagram nursereeny84 to put your mind at ease regarding trusting a stranger with your kitties & house keys. I can do extra duties, open curtains, water your flowers, feed your fish, put your bins out & move post from the front door.
I love dogs & grew up with them, you might like someone to walk your dog if you don’t have a cat.
I am very thorough re cleanliness of the cat litter & feeding bowl & water bowl etc. I always change the cat litter completely on my last visit, if it needs changing (so that you don’t have work to do when you get home).
I already cat sit for friends & family & I always make sure to send picture & video updates to them when they are away. I will make sure that your cat is well looked after & happy & if they feel like playing I will play with them.
If you have any questions or queries let me know. Be sure to add me to your “saved cat sitters”.
Thank you x
Some frequently asked questions:
• What time will I visit?
Generally I will visit between 1-5pm. This is the easiest for me as I work night shift. If you need me to come at a specific time please specify in your first message & I can let you know if it’s possible.
• Do I provide twice a day visits?
This completely depends on my work schedule as I work permanent nights as a nurse. Please specify if you are looking for twice a day visits at time of booking & I can let you know if it’s feasible.
• How long do your visits last?
I will stay a minimum of 45mins to 1 hour (unless you would like me to stay for a shorter period of time if your cat is nervous with strangers)
• Do you take on multiple cat(s) families at once?
No, if I am booked with a cat(s) then I will make myself unavailable on my calendar for that period of time. So, it’s best to book as soon as you know you need a cat sitter.
• Can you administer medication?
Yes I can administer medication. One of my cats is on longterm steroids (5 years now). So I am used to oral administration. I also work as a nurse so I have no issues with needles if your cat has any special requirements like diabetes.
• Do I get to meet you before the booking starts?
Of course. I want your mind to be at ease when you are away from your cat(s). I feel it is important to meet a few days prior to the booking starting so that we can discuss all the care that is required & any security concerns you may have.
