Colourful Cat Care in D14/16

Hi my name Chiará and I'm the Assistant Keeper of Collections working in the heritage centre of Ireland's only medical museum.

I have been looking after my own cat Jiji (i call him my kiggy) for over 4 years now. He came to me as a rescue and he had some issues with being around people, specifically men. But after some love, care and lots of dreamies, he's the best and most lovable boy in the world. I have stayed the night cat sitting for my friends in the past, most recently little Pixie (see profile picture).

I am the person you see crouched down on the footpath talking and petting all the local cats.

Having taken in a very shy and timid cat, I have the patience of a saint. I'm all about letting the cat dictate the interaction, whether it's maintaining distance or having lots of cuddles. I know new people can be a very strange and overwhelming experience for cats, and I respect that wholeheartedly. Saying that, I always carry some dreamies on me so I'm happy to snuggle and get cosy with the kitty.
